Reviews
A Cafe in Parramatta with divided indoor space (guessing the kitchen is in the middle?) - the left side has a more of a cafe for coffe feel to it, and the right side has more of a brunch cafe feel. Outdoor seats available as well.
Personally I liked the right side but it was packed so went to the left side for some coffe and corn fritter. The cappuccino was served lukewarm with too much milk, not much froath 😞 and the long black was extra hot 👌.
The corn fritters appeared browned ted too much (perhaps the chef was too busy and left them on the pan too long?), and while it was crunch they looked and tasted deep fried with way too much oil. It would crumble to touch. Have had varieties of corn fritters elsewhere, but it was the first time seeing corn fritters served this way before elsewhere. The dish only comes with one poached egg, so I added an extra one for $2.50.
Excellent cafe in the heart of the Parramatta CBD. Well priced with a tidy list of breakfast, brunch and lunch options. Coffee was also among the best in the area, highly recommended.
We waited 45 minutes before asking staff if our food was nearly ready. She said the cafe was busy (other people were getting their food who ordered after us?). Then it magically came out less than 10 minutes later. Had to order second coffees to accompany our meal. The food that arrived was bland and soaked in oil, to the point that the food just tasted like oil. It was over $70, and because of the delay, we spent $15 on parking too. It’s frustrating when you spend nearly $100 just to not finish your food and eat when you get home. Would have been different if the staff just admitted that they forgot our order and gave us a coffee while we waited? Don’t bother going, it’s just not fair to pay for service and quality that is non existent.
Second visit - Nice place for tasty breakfast and i love their Corn 🌽 Fritters and Mushroom 🍄 & Kale 🥬 on toast. Service is good too.
I also have a bad experience earlier but that’s coz of the staff recklessness. And it’s all forgiven on my second visit to taste corn fritters 😉 and really satisfied with the food and service on the second visit.
The coffee is amazing! My hubby's and I new fave place! Food is super yummy! Waffles are a stand out and service is good too. The girls are all so lovely! 🙌👌
Wow! A local acquaintance recommended this cafè as a reasonably priced place to take my wife for lunch.
Expectations were greatly exceeded.
The menu is varied & our choice of a Midnight Cuban & a Brunch Bowl both offer points of difference from most cafes we have gone before.
Service & timing was also excellent.
If ever in Parramatta, you can’t leave without checking this place out. Located only a 2min walk from the river and about a 10min walk from Westfields. This cafe has been around a little while now where a review is a also a little overdue. If it’s a simple beverage or a hearty meal, you’ll find it here at Paper Plane. It’s away from the crowds and there’s plenty of paid parking around. And if you’re real lucky, you’ll find a car spot just outside. Ive always been here in the morning so u can’t really comment on lunch options, but I’m saying that, the breakfast is something to marvel over as you’ll see in the big breaky pic. Friendly service, old school vibe with the place and the coffee/juices are delicious. So… what are you waiting for, head on down and make some of your own recommendations. Paper Plane - We’ll see you again soon.
The place is nice, staff were polite.
Big breakfast was okay, pasta was good.
I did not like the nachos.
Spent around 60$ for the below dishes.
